• Access your contacts, photos, or other personal files
• Monitor your location

Health Data Usage

Active Grow accesses the following health data from Apple Health (HealthKit) with your explicit permission:

• Step count data: Used to track your daily movement and grow your digital plants
• Stand hours data: Used to encourage healthy activity throughout the day
• Time in daylight data: Available on iOS 17+ devices to promote outdoor time

Important: All health data accessed through HealthKit remains on your device. It is used solely within the app to calculate your plant growth progress and display your wellness journey. This data is never transmitted to our servers or any external services.

Local Data Storage

All your information is stored locally on your device using iOS's secure data storage systems. This includes:

• Your digital garden progress and plant growth stages
• Achievement badges and milestones
• App preferences and settings
• Historical wellness data processed by the app

Because all data is local:

• Your information never leaves your device
• We cannot access your information
• If you delete the app, all your data is permanently removed
• We cannot restore your progress if deleted - backups would need to be managed through your device's backup systems
• Your data is protected by your device's security features (passcode, Touch ID, Face ID)

Data Security

Since all data is stored locally on your device, data security depends on your device's built-in security features including:

• iOS device passcodes and biometric authentication
• iOS encryption and secure storage
• HealthKit's secure data access protocols
• Your device's backup encryption settings

We recommend keeping your device updated with the latest iOS security updates and using strong authentication methods.

Third-Party Services

Active Grow does not integrate with any third-party services including:

• Analytics services (Google Analytics, etc.)
• Advertising networks
• Social media platforms
• Cloud storage services

The app operates entirely offline regarding data processing and storage.

Children's Privacy

Our app is designed for general audiences and is not specifically directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since we collect no personal data from any users, this extends to all age groups.

Parents should be aware that the app accesses health data from HealthKit, which requires explicit permission during setup.

Your Rights and Control

Because we collect no personal data, traditional data rights (access, correction, deletion) don't apply in the usual sense. Instead:

• You have complete control over all your data since it's stored on your device
• You can delete all app data by deleting the app or by going into Settings and then Data Management where you'll find the option to Reset All Progress permanently
• You can revoke HealthKit permissions at any time in iOS Settings
• You control what health data the app can access
• There is no personal data on our servers to access, correct, or delete

International Data Transfers

Since Active Grow does not collect or transmit any personal data, there are no international data transfers to consider. All your data remains on your device regardless of your location.

Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

For users in the European Union: Since we do not process personal data, GDPR data processing requirements do not apply to our app's core functionality. Health data accessed through HealthKit remains on your device and is processed based on your explicit consent when granting HealthKit permissions.

California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

For California residents: Since Active Grow does not collect personal information, the California Consumer Privacy Act does not apply to our data practices. We have no personal information to sell, share, or disclose.
